Locking Addresses for MONTE CRISTO this weekend!
18 days ago – Fri, Oct 04, 2024 at 01:11:40 PM

Hi everyone!

We're getting ready to start shipping soon, so we are locking addresses this weekend.
You will receive a notice from Backerkit giving you one more opportunity to update your address, if needed. After 48 hours, the address currently displayed on your Backerkit will be locked into the system. We aim to gather all the final shipping data for our fulfillment preparation next week.
We anticipate the last remaining items to arrive at the warehouse by next Friday. Subsequently, the warehouse will begin the process of printing labels, pre-assembling the stretch goal bundles, and packing the boxes. Our goal is to have everything shipped out by the end of the month if possible!
We will provide updates, but in the meantime, Domestic North American backers, please confirm your address is correct based on where you will be at the end of the month. (International backers, you will receive another address verification message a few weeks later, closer to when your regional hub is ready to start shipping.) If you need assistance with making this change, please message us at [email protected] and we will be happy to help you.

Jordan is flying to the US next week to do a couple of book signings in the New York area while also attending NYCC before hopping down to Austin for the Austin Film Festival. We'll get more details from him soon in case anyone in that area would like to meet him!

Thanks, everyone!

MONTE CRISTO Digital Files are ready!
about 1 month ago – Fri, Sep 20, 2024 at 03:49:44 PM

Hi, everyone!

We hope you've been doing well. The final items are expected to reach our warehouse soon so that fulfillment can begin in October. In the meantime...

We distributed the digital files!

You may have already received an email notification from Backerkit, but if not, check your inboxes or check your Backerkit page directly. You will find all of the links and instructions on your personal Backerkit page (which you can access below or at https://monte-cristo-a-graphic-novel-of-elegant-revenge.backerkit.com/). Once logged in, you should see a big blue button in the middle of the page that says "Get Your Digital Downloads" -- click on that to see your personal links for each item ordered.
The books are hosted by Gumroad -- you will have to follow the (simple) instructions to use your unique codes to download your files from Gumroad for free. 😊
If you have any trouble or questions about the process, feel free to email us at [email protected] -- we're happy to help!
We'll be back with another update once we have news on the coins, pins, notebooks, and other stretch goal items. They should be arriving in the next few weeks. As soon as they do, we'll be ready to start shipping!

Have a great weekend!

Locking orders in preparation for fulfillment!
about 1 month ago – Fri, Sep 13, 2024 at 03:12:21 PM

Hi everyone!

A quick update to let everyone know that we have initiated the Order Lock on Backerkit. You should receive an email notification shortly asking you to confirm your survey is complete and that your information is accurate.

If you have already completed your survey, you have 48 hours to make any last adjustments to your pledge. When that 48 hours is up, Backerkit will lock your orders so that no more changes can be made (other than Address changes -- we will lock those separately closer to shipping). We will then process payments for any balances due on Monday.

If you haven't filled out your survey yet, or aren't sure if you have, you can try logging into https://monte-cristo-a-graphic-novel-of-elegant-revenge.backerkit.com/ using the email address associated with your Kickstarter account.

If you need help getting into Backerkit, send us a message here on Kickstarter and we'll get you sorted. Remember: if you are registered using a privaterelay.appleid.com email address, you will have to contact us with an alternative email!

The books and extra stretch goal items are on their way and should reach our warehouse in the next few weeks. Check out these preview photos from the factory:

Pics of the books were shared in an earlier update, ICYMI. 😊 We received Mario's signed bookplates this week, so things are looking good! We hope to start shipping in October, so please make sure your surveys are set when you get the Lock notification!

Thanks, everyone!

Advance books have arrived!
about 2 months ago – Fri, Aug 23, 2024 at 04:25:44 PM

Hi everyone!

Happy Friday! It has been quite a busy week (as they all seem to be these days), especially on the Kickstarter front -- we got advance copies of all of the books from the printer this week, and they look GREAT!

We also received the signed bookplates from Jordan this week --

We're still waiting on the signed bookplates from Mario and some of the stretch goal items from the manufacturers, but we expect them all to arrive in September so we can start shipping in October. Lots of stuff to coordinate and track!

We'll share more as soon as there is something to show!

Have a great weekend!

Smooth sailing so far...

Hi everyone!

Just a quick update to let everyone know that things are progressing smoothly: The books are nearing completion and we expect to receive word from the printer next week that they have left the port for the (long) journey across the Pacific. We should receive some final proofs before they go, so we'll be sure to post photos once they have arrived.

The other items have been ordered and are being manufactured now -- the coins, pins, notebooks, etc. Once we have something to share, we'll certainly post an update.

Otherwise, things are looking like we should be good to start shipping in October. I know, that's not exactly September as originally estimated, but none of this is an exact science, and we do our best to estimate accurately... A couple of weeks off isn't bad, in the grand scheme of things (compared to most other Kickstarters that seem to take a lot longer... we're still waiting on items we backed over a year ago...!) 😊

Thanks, everyone! We appreciate your excitement and support!
