Hi Everyone!
Happy Monday (if there is such a thing...)! We hope you had a nice weekend, maybe getting ready for a nice Thanksgiving holiday later this week. We sincerely hoped that this update would have been to announce the start of shipping, but the warehouse has been valiantly plowing through a lot of (understandable) holiday congestion. We're told that they should be able to send the formal Address Verification emails on Friday, which means that labels will be printed early next week, which usually means shipping will begin about a week after that. So, hopefully, that means shipping will begin just after the Thanksgiving holiday! 😊
Once they get started, it usually only takes a day or two (sometimes three) to have everything out the door, so you should see your stuff soon!
(I should qualify that comment by directing it specifically to North American backers -- the International stock will be departing around that same time, and will need some extra time for ocean-crossing and assembly at their respective hubs... we'll post specific hub updates as soon as we get them.)
In the meantime, we have REWARDED YOUR AMBASSADOR POINTS FOR YOUR PLEDGE!
If you missed the mention on the campaign page, every pledge includes a number of Ambassador Points equal to 10-points-per-dollar of your final order total (including postage). These are unique reward points that can be collected and redeemed for discounts and rewards on our webstore, a great way to support Magnetic Press further (while building up a collection of cool books and stuff in the process)!
If you are already a webstore customer and part of the program, just log into your webstore account (which should be under the same email address as your Kickstarter/Backerkit account). You should see those new points added to your balance under the heading "MONTE CRISTO Kickstarter Points."
If you don't have an account on our webstore,your points have been tallied, but you will need to register an account for them to appear. If you register for the first time, simply contact us at [email protected] to add your points for you. 😊

You can use points for discount codes, gift cards, and occasionally for exclusivecollectible items that you can only get using points! It's definitely a fun program that we'll be building upon very soon! International backers may wish to consider using accrued points towards a gift card which, unlike discount codes, can be used against an order's bottom-line total including shipping. Discount codes only apply toward the contents of an order, not shipping.

Hi everyone!
We hope you had a great Halloween (for those of you who observe). Ours was quiet -- we chose not to do anything spooky this year, too exhausted by everything else going on to properly partake. We've been coordinating with our fulfillment warehouse these past few weeks to make sure they have all the final order data and instructions to begin shipping as soon as the stuff get there. Our mutual goal is to have everything shipped by Thanksgiving -- I'm told that totally doable!
Jordan was busy last month as well, flying in from France to visit both New York Comic-Con and the Austin Film Festival. He did a few book signings during that time (mostly REPLAY, but also a handful of advance copies of MONTE CRISTO that we made sure he received while he was here). Here are a couple of interview links if anyone is curious!
Not that I had a whole lot to do with the brilliance of MONTE CRISTO, but I also stepped outside my comfort zone for a couple of podcast interviews last month... The headlining occasion was Magnetic's 10th Anniversary, but the hosts and I talked quite a bit about MONTE CRISTO (among many other things). If you're at all curious, please check those out, too!
All of that blah blah blah aside, we've been hard at work getting your stuff ready to ship. Everything is transferring to the fulfillment warehouse now, expected to be there by Friday, and they should be good to rock and roll right away!

Locking Addresses for MONTE CRISTO this weekend!

Hi everyone!
We're getting ready to start shipping soon, so we are locking addresses this weekend. You will receive a notice from Backerkit giving you one more opportunity to update your address, if needed. After 48 hours, the address currently displayed on your Backerkit will be locked into the system. We aim to gather all the final shipping data for our fulfillment preparation next week. We anticipate the last remaining items to arrive at the warehouse by next Friday. Subsequently, the warehouse will begin the process of printing labels, pre-assembling the stretch goal bundles, and packing the boxes. Our goal is to have everything shipped out by the end of the month if possible!
We will provide updates, but in the meantime, Domestic North American backers, please confirm your address is correct based on where you will be at the end of the month. (International backers, you will receive another address verification message a few weeks later, closer to when your regional hub is ready to start shipping.) If you need assistance with making this change, please message us at [email protected] and we will be happy to help you.
Jordan is flying to the US next week to do a couple of book signings in the New York area while also attending NYCC before hopping down to Austin for the Austin Film Festival. We'll get more details from him soon in case anyone in that area would like to meet him!

MONTE CRISTO Digital Files are ready!

We hope you've been doing well. The final items are expected to reach our warehouse soon so that fulfillment can begin in October. In the meantime...
We distributed the digital files!
You may have already received an email notification from Backerkit, but if not, check your inboxes or check your Backerkit page directly. You will find all of the links and instructions on your personal Backerkit page (which you can access below or at https://monte-cristo-a-graphic-novel-of-elegant-revenge.backerkit.com/). Once logged in, you should see a big blue button in the middle of the page that says "Get Your Digital Downloads" -- click on that to see your personal links for each item ordered.
The books are hosted by Gumroad -- you will have to follow the (simple) instructions to use your unique codes to download your files from Gumroad for free. 😊

Locking orders in preparation for fulfillment!

Hi everyone!
A quick update to let everyone know that we have initiated the Order Lock on Backerkit. You should receive an email notification shortly asking you to confirm your survey is complete and that your information is accurate.
If you have already completed your survey, you have 48 hours to make any last adjustments to your pledge. When that 48 hours is up, Backerkit will lock your orders so that no more changes can be made (other than Address changes -- we will lock those separately closer to shipping). We will then process payments for any balances due on Monday.
If you need help getting into Backerkit, send us a message here on Kickstarter and we'll get you sorted. Remember: if you are registered using a privaterelay.appleid.com email address, you will have to contact us with an alternative email!
